As we are building our new brand, we are growing tremendously and we strive to enhance the customer experience across our network of brands. We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to help ensure we run safe and quality operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control inspections and testing on buses.
- Inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies, inspection of wire routing & terminations.
- Interpreting plans, specifications, and other contract documents for compliance with the work.
- Visual inspections of cleanliness and serviceability of buses in accordance with company policies.
- Witness and audit pre-delivery and acceptance tests.
- Physical inspection of new technology equipment installations to include the identification of nonconforming conditions per approved instructions, checklists, and standards.
- Witnessing of post-installation function testing per approved procedures, to include the identification of any out of tolerance results and performance.
- Effective communication in shop and office environments.
- Timely preparation and submittal of proper documentation upon completion of inspections, including electronic records and digital photographs, and associated file management and organization.
- Professional conduct while working with fellow employees.
- Knowledge of bus electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Requirements:
- 3 years minimum QA/QC bus inspection experience.
- High School Diploma or GED. Some college preferred.
- Experiences of inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies, inspection of wire routing & terminations.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings.
- Ability to create MS Word documents and embed photos with clear and concise descriptions.
- Knowledge of best workmanship practices & bus industry standards.
- Ability to identify nonconforming conditions based on criteria.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Record inspection results by completing reports, summarize re-works and wastes, and input data into a quality database.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
