About the Role:

As a key member of our diesel mechanic team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles, including buses and trucks.
  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA, FMCSA, and DOT standards.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other members of the maintenance team.
  • Maintain a Clean Work Environment: Contribute to a safe and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Must be able to work at least Saturday and/or Sunday every week 
  • Proven experience with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid Driver's License preferred
  • ASE certifications, Class B CDL, and EPA 608 certifications (preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
