About the Role:

As a key member of our diesel mechanic team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles, including buses and trucks.
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA, FMCSA, and DOT standards.
Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other members of the maintenance team.
Maintain a Clean Work Environment: Contribute to a safe and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
Must be able to work at least Saturday and/or Sunday every week
Proven experience with diagnostic tools and equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Valid Driver's License preferred
ASE certifications, Class B CDL, and EPA 608 certifications (preferred)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
