Automotive Parts Specialist

Job Description:
The parts specialist is responsible for tracking, ordering, receiving, and managing disposition of all parts within the mechanic’s shop. This person is charged with ensuring inventory is accurate, the parts storage area is clean and orderly, and there is 100% accountability throughout the process.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with management team to complete all department plans as required.
- Work with management team to stock parts.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Catalog, barcode, maintain inventory management system, and execute parts requisitions and/or purchase orders as required.
- Must be proficient in office duties.

- Must be competent at oral and written communications and handle basic math computations.
- Should have prior merchandising and inventory management skills.

- Previous work records should demonstrate stability and performance results.
Physical Demands:
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to handle a pallet jack.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Half the time is spent standing or walking.
- Requires good manual skills (gross and fine finger dexterity).
- Must be able to reach above shoulder level.
- Must be capable of squatting, bending and reaching.
- Must be capable of climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching on an occasional basis.
Education and/or Experience:
- At least 1 year managing inventory
- Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. High school diploma minimum with relevant experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
