We’re looking for career-minded, automotive diesel mechanics with at least 3 years of experience to join our team in Ridgewood, Queens. Our team is composed of Mechanic Helpers to Class A mechanics who all have the opportunity to advance their skills and contribute to the greater success of our team and growth of our company. 

Candidates for this role will like sharing process improvement ideas, implementing ideas, and come in with a curious mind and appetite for learning.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Familiar with industry-standard tools and procedures for basic diagnostics and repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair based on standardized procedures.
• Inspect equipment in detail for defects, and damage potential component failure areas.
• Follow protocol and create an action plan to complete assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety guidelines in compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, and state and federal DOT standards.
• Log and input all work, inspections, and other maintenance data.
• Assist coworkers as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace.

Employee Requirements:

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent
• Background in automotive/truck & bus industry maintenance
• Experience with industry-standard tools and equipment
• ASE certification, class B CDL, EPA 608 certification desired
• Basic computer skills
• Clear communication skills
• Desire to learn and adapt to new situations as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Employees will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including employment references.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
